From Artifact Bags

The Skein Sack was designed to move with a project from the first cast-on to the final rows.

When starting a larger project, the Skein Sack may be all you need—keeping your yarn and early work together in one compact package. As the project grows, simply move the entire sack into one of our larger project bags. The slick nylon lining allows yarn to feed smoothly without binding, while two grommets help manage multiple skeins or cakes as you work.

For knitters and crocheters who keep several projects going at once, individual Skein Sacks create a simple modular system. Dedicate one sack to each work-in-progress, then carry several together inside a larger project bag. When it’s time to work, pull out the project you want without disturbing the others.

Smaller projects can travel on their own. Cinch the paracord drawstrings closed and use them as a wristlet for knitting or crocheting on the go—whether you’re headed to the park, a coffee shop, or simply moving from room to room.

Handmade in our Omaha studio, the Skein Sack is a deceptively simple piece of knitting gear designed around the way projects actually grow, travel, and accumulate.
