Description: Nivalis is a small triangular shawl consisting of two halves, each worked in Garter stitch from the center out.  The sections of the scarf closest to the center feature an inlay colorwork pattern of traditional snowdrops.  

This is a quick and easy pattern and is a great introduction to inlay colorwork.

Finished size is approximately 50 1/2 inches (126 cm) long and 8 3/4 inches (22 cm) wide.

• Suggested Yarns for EACH HALF
  • MC: approx 100 yards of any Sport or DK weight yarn or a combination of yarns to make a Sport/DK gauge; Spun Right Round Squish DK,  Plymouth DK Merino Superwash, Rowan Felted Tweed, Jill Draper Makes Stuff Kingston
  • CC: approx. 7 yards of any Aran or Bulky weight yarn or combination of yarns to make an Aran/Bulky weight yarn: Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Tweed, Orchardview Lincoln Longwools McIntosh Aran  Plymouth chunky Merino Superwash, Plymouth Encore Chunky
• US 6 (4 mm) straight or 16-inch circular needle
• Measuring Tape or ruler, scissors, tapestry needle

• You MUST know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off
