Dates/Times: Tuesdays August 4 and 11, 2026 | 12:30-1:30 PM
Description: Dishcloths are a great first knitting project! We'll be knitting, the always useful, Grandma's Favorite Dish Cloth. This pattern is beginner friendly as it uses only the knit stitch but you'll still learn new skills like increasing and decreasing. These little wash clothes make wonderful gifts on their own or paired with a fancy soap.
Materials needed:
- Gramma's Dish Cloth by P J Allen (Free--Printed copies will be provided at the first class)
- Size US 7 (4.5mm) needles (Straight, circular bamboo, or circular metal)
- Worsted Weight Cotton (such as Coastal Cotton Worsted)
Skills Needed:
- Knit Stitch
Skills Learned:
- Increases, Decreases, Following a pattern

About the teacher:
When Sharilyn was a child, her grandmother taught her how to knit and her mother taught her how to crochet and she hasn't stopped since. Along the way she's also happily fallen down other crafty rabbit holes like spinning, felting, and weaving.
Sharilyn has taught knitting and crochet classes for over 10 years in the Rochester area and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the fiber arts with you!
