Description: This is series 2 in the Granny Square Sampler class but don't need to have taken series 1 for this class so join in!  We'll be working on 3 more Granny Squares from this pattern taking your Granny Square skills to the next level!  nIn this class, we'll work on Granny squares that will build your skills with spokes, puffs, florals, and geometric designs.  The pattern contains 12 designs.  We'll cover 3 more designs in depth in this class.

This class is suitable for an advanced beginner or intermediate crocheter, ages 12 and up

Materials needed:

• Pattern: Yorkshire Blanket by Meema Makes (pattern cost is included in class fee, a pattern hardcopy will be available at the first class.  Please provide your Ravelry name when signing up and a digital copy of the pattern will be added to your Ravelry library.)
• Suggested Hook: US size G (4 mm)
  
• Suggested Yarn: Each square take approximately 45 grams of a DK weight yarn such as Spun Right Round.  Holding two strands of Fingering weight together will also produce a DK weight.  Please consider choosing a tonal or solid color to permit the pattern textures to shine.  Bright flashes of color in a variegated yarn will obscure texture details.
• Notions: Tapestry Needle, scissors

• VERY familiar with Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet

About the teacher:  

When Sharilyn was a child, her grandmother taught her how to knit and her mother taught her how to crochet and she hasn't stopped since. Along the way she's also happily fallen down other crafty rabbit holes like spinning, felting, and weaving.

Sharilyn Ross has taught knitting and crochet classes for over 10 years in the Rochester area and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the fiber arts with you!
