🧶 Before Erin traded textbooks for textiles, she was a medical librarian guiding college students through the mysterious world of research databases. Now, with over a decade of experience in the fiber arts, she conjures magic with knitting needles, crochet hooks, spinning wheels, and looms.

🧶 A proud multi-crafter, Erin brings her love of learning (and her delightfully terrible jokes) to every class she teaches.

🧶 When she's not crafting or teaching, you'll likely find her deep in a good procrastination session-- possibly while planning her next project.

Joan Elliott

🧶 Joan has been knitting since childhood, which means she’s had plenty of time to make every mistake—and learn how to fix them! Her help sessions are filled with patience, kindness, and quiet confidence, whether you’re tackling a tricky pattern or just a dropped stitch.

🧶 She also crochets, quilts, needlepoints, and brings years of experience from the professional costuming world. Joan’s well-traveled and brings a warm, worldly perspective to every conversation. 

🧶 She loves good food, a good book, wine, her grandkids, gardening, her cat Beau, and a sunset over the lake.

Deb Jaworowicz

🧶 Deb has been teaching knitting & leading help sessions for us for over 5 years! Her specialty is group sessions where people come with their various pattern and technique questions. When she's not knitting you can find her snuggling her grand-baby!

Sharilyn Ross

🧶 When Sharilyn was a child, her grandmother taught her how to knit and her mother taught her how to crochet and she hasn't stopped since. Along the way she's also happily fallen down other crafty rabbit holes like spinning, felting, and weaving.

🧶 Sharilyn Ross has taught knitting and crochet classes for over 10 years in the Rochester area and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the fiber arts with you!

Nancy Vandivert

🧶 Nancy Vandivert happily admits to being a knitting nerd. She is a TKGA certified Master Hand Knitter and has had patterns published in CAST ON, Interweave Knits magazines, Knitty, Knit Picks, Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club, and Twist Collective.

🧶 She has taught knitting and crochet in the Rochester, NY area for over 20 years. She teaches a variety of knitting classes at LBY and also offers private lessons by request.
