Description:

Join in to crochet this beginner-friendly chunky granny square scarf!  The scarf is made with 13 grannies giving you the chance to mix and match colors to make a unique and bold scarf.  Choose fall, winter, neutrals, pastel or bold colors.  They'll all work for this pattern! 

Ages 12 and up. Adventurous Beginner and beyond.

Materials needed:

• Yarn:  Super bulky weight yarn (540 yards)
  Suggested Yarn: Encore Mega (You'll need about 540 yards total. The pattern is written for 6 colors but feel free to break that into as many colors as you would like.)
• Pattern: Robin Hat and Scarf by Toni Lipsey (pattern also has a hat pattern) included in the price of the class.
• Hook: 9.00 mm hook (M/N)
• Other Supplies: Tapestry Needle, Scissors
  

Skills Needed:

• Skills you'll need before class:  Be comfortable with the double crochet stitch.

• Skills you'll learn: Standing Double crochet, changing colors,  Reading crochet directions

About the teacher:  

When Sharilyn was a child, her grandmother taught her how to knit and her mother taught her how to crochet and she hasn't stopped since. Along the way she's also happily fallen down other crafty rabbit holes like spinning, felting, and weaving.

Sharilyn Ross has taught knitting and crochet classes for over 10 years in the Rochester area and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the fiber arts with you!
