Description
Amalgam is a 3-ply DK weight woolen-spun yarn, with 270 yds/4 oz—just like Kingston, making them a perfect pairing. Its three-ply construction gives it a round, bouncy texture, ideal for cables or colorwork. Soft enough to wear next to the skin, it still retains a hint of natural lanolin for that beloved “sheepy” aroma.
Amalgam was created when a longtime farmer collaborator offered the fleece of their Welsh Mountain Black sheep. This was blended with New York–grown Targhee wool in varying proportions to produce four rich shades. Proudly made with 100% U.S.–grown and spun wool.
Amalgam 1 is 100% Targhee
Amalgam 2 is 80% Targhee, 20% Welsh Mountain Black
Amalgam 3 is 60% Targhee, 40% Welsh Mountain Black
Amalgam 4 is 24% Targhee, 76% Welsh Mountain Black

Hand wash in cool water. Lay flat to dry.
